• Visit Lebanon Valley appoints Nancy Gates as new president and CEO (lebtown.com) — A longtime Palmyra resident, Nancy Gates, has been named the new president and CEO of Visit Lebanon Valley, the agency that promotes tourism and supports the local economy. With decades of experience at Hershey attractions and Dauphin County Parks, she’s credited with creating popular events and boosting attendance. Gates, who lives in Palmyra with her family, says she wants tourism to build community pride and economic growth.
   

• Police announce road closures, traffic enforcement plans ahead of Palmyra Holiday Parade (fox43.com) — Drivers in Palmyra should expect major delays Saturday morning as the Holiday Parade steps off from Palmyra Middle School at 11 a.m., with closures starting at 9:30 a.m. East and West Main Street (Route 422) and key cross streets, including Railroad Street through the square, will be shut down until the parade ends.
   

• Mid-Penn Keystone 2026 boys basketball preview: picks, predictions and preseason MVPs (pennlive.com) — Palmyra boys basketball is projected seventh in the stacked Mid-Penn Keystone, but returns enough talent to push into the district playoffs if things break right. Guard Braydon Bown is expected to lead the Cougars’ scoring again, with multi-sport standout Julian Meley back after two years away. The preview also sizes up rival Keystone programs Palmyra will face this winter.
