With decades of experience at Hershey attractions and Dauphin County Parks, she’s credited with creating popular events and boosting attendance. Gates, who lives in Palmyra with her family, says she wants tourism to build community pride and economic growth.

• Police announce road closures, traffic enforcement plans ahead of Palmyra Holiday Parade (fox43.com) — Drivers in Palmyra should expect major delays Saturday morning as the Holiday Parade steps off from Palmyra Middle School at 11 a.m., with closures starting at 9:30 a.m. East and West Main Street (Route 422) and key cross streets, including Railroad Street through the square, will be shut down until the parade ends.
