2 Killed In Crash Involving Pedestrians On Roosevelt Boulevard

A vehicle struck two pedestrians, killing one and critically injuring the other. The vehicle's driver also died, police said.

PHILADELPHIA — Two men are dead and another is in critical condition after a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrians on Roosevelt Boulevard Thursday afternoon, police said.

According to Philadelphia Police, the crash happened at 1:59 p.m. on the 9000 block of East Roosevelt Boulevard.

A vehicle was heading south in the outer lane of the boulevard when it struck two male pedestrians, police said.

The driver died at the scene at 2:38 p.m. and one of the pedestrians died at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital at 2:49 p.m.

The other pedestrian is in extremely critical condition, according to police.

Authorities did not release their identities.

There is no word on what caused the crash.
