Man Attacked At Center City SEPTA Station Tuesday: Reports

A man was attacked by three people, one of whom he managed to disarm, Tuesday morning at 15th and Market streets, according to reports.

PHILADELPHIA — Authorities in Philadelphia are searching for three people after an attack at a Center City SEPTA station Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred sometime before 1:30 a.m. on the westbound platform of Suburban Station at the intersection of 15th and Market street, according to NBC10.

A 50-year-old man was approached by three people who demanded his money. The man was able to wrest a knife from one of the suspects, but then was punched and kicked by them, Fox 29 reports.

The suspects got on a westbound train after the incident.

The victim was hospitalized, but the extent of his injuries is unknown.
