2 Killed In Separate Nearby Shootings In Half Hour's Time: Philly PD

Philadelphia Police said two men, ages 22 and 23, were killed in separate shootings less than a mile apart and within about half an hour.

PHILADELPHIA — Two people were killed in separate shootings Wednesday in Philadelphia, and authorities are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

A 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were shot multiple times at about 5:58 p.m. on the 1000 block of Wagner Avenue, police said.

Officers were called to that area at that time for a report of a person with a gun and found the victims.

The 22-year-old man was taken to Jefferson Einstein Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:44 p.m. His identity was not released.

The other victim was listed in stable condition.

Then at about 6:32 p.m., police got another report of a person with a gun, this time on the 4800 block of North 11th Street, less than a mile from the first shooting.

At that scene, the found five fired cartridge casings and learned later that a 23-year-old man was taken to Jefferson Einstein Hospital.

That man, identified as Rymir Pace of the 1300 block of West Wyoming Avenue, died at 6:56 p.m. after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.

No arrests have been made in connection with these shootings.
