- A missing two-year-old child in Philadelphia was recovered safely less than 48 hours after an Amber Alert was issued. The child had last been seen with 29-year-old Jermone Washington on Thursday, Jan. 6 around 10:00 p.m. in the Belview Avenue area. An Amber Alert had been issued not only in Philadelphia but in the surrounding counties. (FOX 29 Philadelphia)
- A South Philadelphia native celebrated her 106th birthday on Friday. Dorothy Nedd, the great-grandmother of nine children and great-great-grandmother to one more, credits her longevity to serving the Lord and her love of McDonald's Big Macs. (FOX 5 NY)
- At least five teenagers were shot in a three-hour period, with two victims dead, in Philadelphia on Saturday. In one incident, a 17-year-old male was shot at least four times and killed on East Washington Lane and Gardenia Street. Just minutes earlier, gunshots rang out on McClellan Street, where a 16-year-old male and a 19-year-old male were shot; the 19-year-old later died at the hospital, while the 16-year-old is expected to survive.
