A mother and her 5-month-old baby girl are in the hospital after being shot in West Philadelphia, family said Sunday.

The shooting happened just after 4 a.m. on the 1500 block of North Robinson Street.
Philadelphia Police said the woman was shot multiple times and the baby was shot once in the leg. Both were taken to area hospitals.
