3 'Phillies Karens' Appear At Phillies-Dodgers Game In LA

As the Phillies took on the Dodgers in Los Angeles Monday night, three Phillies fans donned wigs and glasses to becomes "Phillies Karens."

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia sports fans have notorious reputations, but the surrounding rhetoric is a bit hyperbolic (in our opinion).

One particular Philadelphia sports fan, however, has contributed to the myth that we're all bad people: the woman dubbed "Phillies Karen."

Phillies Karen went viral after confronting Drew Feltwell, who snatched up a Harrison Bader home run ball Sept. 5 when the Phils took on the Marlins at LoanDepot Park in Miami.

In the end, all was made good for Feltwell and his son thanks to the Phillies and Marlins.

But Phillies Karen, who remains unidentified, is apparently still in the zeitgeist.

Three Phillies fans who attended the Phillies-Dodgers game at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles Monday night decided to copy the "Phillies Karen" look.

The three fans rocked gray hair wigs and thick, dark-rimmed glasses, and the same Phillies hooded sweatshirt (valued at $125 apiece) to ape the infamous woman's look.

Phillies broadcaster Tom McCarthy commented on the shtick during the game.

"The Philly Karens, they got their costumes all set," McCarthy said. "They're hoping for some offense here as we start the top of the seventh inning."

"They're actually really nice hoodies," Phillies color commentator Reuben Amaro Jr. said.

"Well, I mean, they were nice hoodies even though [Phillies Karen] was mean," McCarthy said. "Gonna be a heck of a Halloween for this year."

The three men were then seen posing for a selfie on the game broadcast.

The Phillies won 6-5 in the 10th inning to clinch the National League East, marking their second consecutive division title.
