40 Boxes Of Meat Stolen Out Of Truck In Northeast Philadelphia: Police
The truck was parked when the driver sensed it shaking, according to police.
PHILADELPHIA — About 40 boxes of meat were stolen out of the back of a parked truck early Sunday morning in Northeast Philadelphia, according to police.
Officers responded to the scene around 3:15 a.m., police said, in the 9700 block of Roosevelt Boulevard, which is in the area of several businesses, including those in the Whitman Square Shopping Center. The truck was parked when the driver sensed it shaking, according to police.
Two people were unloading meat from the truck’s trailer into two Nissans, police said, adding the pair fled before officers arrived but eight of the 40 stolen boxes were recovered nearby.

Police ask that anyone with information about the theft call detectives at 215-686-3153 or anonymously submit tips by calling or texting 215-686-8477.
