4th Teen Charged In Triple Shooting At Philly's Christmas Village

Philadelphia Police said a 17-year-old boy was arrested and charged Thursday for his role in the Dec. 13, 2024, shooting that hurt three.

PHILADELPHIA — A fourth teenager has been charged in connection with the December triple shooting near Philadelphia's Christmas Village in Dilworth Park.

Philadelphia Police said a 17-year-old boy was arrested Thursday for his role in the Dec. 13, 2024, shooting.

He is charged with aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy, and related offenses, police said.

Three other teens have also been charged in connection with the shooting that hurt three boys, two 14 years old and one 15 years old.

Raheem Hylton, 16, was taken into custody Dec. 19, 2024 on the 1200 block of Foulkrod Street.

The two other boys, 14 and 16, were taken into custody Dec. 13, 2024, and Dec. 18, 2024, police said.

The 14-year-old was charged with aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person, and conspiracy.

Police said the 16-year-old was charged with aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy, and related offenses.

The shooting happened at 4:33 p.m. Dec. 13, 2024 in Dilworth Park, near the Christmas village and ice rink.

The incident left one boy, 14, in critical condition after being shot in the eye. Two other boys, 14 and 15, were injured in the shooting.

Police said the shooting stemmed from an instance of bullying.

One of the suspects was mocking the younger brother of the teen who is critical, police said.

That led to an argument, which escalated to the shooting, according to authorities.
