Road closures will begin at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, and are expected to last until about 6 a.m. on Thursday. Affected streets include the Benjamin Franklin Parkway inner lanes from 20th Street to Eakins Oval, and the outbound outer lanes from 22nd Street to Eakins Oval. Eakins Oval will be fully closed. Spring Garden Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and 31st Street, and 23rd Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and Eakins Oval will also be closed.

MLK Drive from Sweet Briar Drive to Eakins Oval, and Kelly Drive between Eakins Oval and Fairmount Avenue, will also experience closures. Additional closures, including Lemon Hill Drive and Sedgley Drive, will be in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday to about 1 a.m. Thursday due to public safety interests related to the fireworks show. The Philadelphia Police Department may implement further closures based on conditions.

Parking restrictions will apply to these streets, which will be posted as “Temporary No Parking” zones. Vehicles parked in these areas during the posted hours will be relocated. Residents can contact the police district of the area where their car was parked if they believe it has been relocated.
