PHILADELPHIA — Last week, before the Philadelphia Eagles became Super Bowl LIX champions, star wide receiver AJ Brown made a promise to a young man who was injured in the deadly Northeast Philadelphia plane crash.

"You are a Hero young man," Brown said of 10-year-old Andre Howard on social media. "I’m going to come see you when I get back. Hopefully with some hardware. Playing for you on Sunday my man."

Howard was severely injured when a piece of debris pierced his head as he shielded his 4-year-old sister from the shrapnel.

The debris came through the windshield of a vehicle he and his sister were in, striking his head.

And on Wednesday, Brown made good on his promise, and brought a special surprise for the young fan.

Howard's mother Lashawn Hamiel on Facebook posted photos of Brown with her son in the hospital.

Not only did Brown himself pay a visit to the youngster who is on the mend, he brought the Lombardi Trophy, too.

"Thank you for being a man of your word," Hamiel wrote on Facebook Wednesday. "By great surprise on this day my son was beyond grateful to meet you."

She said her son is usually talkative, but was at a loss for words when he met the NFL superstar.

Brown even got star running back Saquon Barkley on the phone to wish Howard well.

"From my family to yours I so humbly want to say thank you and we love you and hope and want nothing but the best for yours," she wrote online.
