Are The Philly Specials Teasing A New Holiday Music?

PHILADELPHIA — The "Christmas creep" is real, and if that's not indicated by the slew of holiday advertisements on TV and in stores, it's indicated by what appears to be a tease of another benefit album from The Philly Specials.

For those unaware, The Philly Specials are Jason Kelce, Jordan Mailata, and Lane Johnson.

The trio, two of whom are still crucial to the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line and one now a retired legend, have released benefit holiday albums for the past three years, raising millions of dollars to the benefit of local charity groups and children.

And on Monday, The Philly Specials appeared to tease something new.

Kelce, Mailata, and Johnson appeared in new photos on the A Philly Special Christmas social media pages Monday.

There is no word yet on any potential new recordings from the group, which has tapped legends such as Patti LaBelle, Stevie Nicks, and Boyz II Men to collaborate on previous records.

Their first album, 2022's "A Philly Special Christmas," raised more than $250,000 for the Children's Crisis Treatment Center in Philadelphia.

The follow-up album, "A Philly Special Christmas Special," eclipsed the funds raised by the debut album, generating more than $3 million for the Children's Crisis Treatment Center and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

And in 2024, "A Philly Special Christmas Party" supported the trio's new initiative Operation Snowball, which helped give a gift to every single Philly public school student.
