  1. Two people have been arrested and charged for the July 15 SEPTA bus shooting near Philadelphia's City Hall. Darnell Still, 23, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, conspiracy and related offenses. Danesha Harper, 31, is charged with aggravated assault, conspiracy, and related offenses, officials said. (WPVI-TV)
  2. Two people were injured in a fiery head-on crash that occurred in Spring Garden. The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. Friday on North Broad and Brandywine street. Police say two vehicles collided at the scene and the impact caused one of them to catch fire. (WPVI-TV)
  3. Comcast is spending $15.7 million this year to extend its business internet infrastructure to more areas of Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey. The investment is part of a two-year, $26 million project that began in 2020. The new infrastructure will offer up to one gigabit of network capacity to small and medium businesses, and up to 100 gigabits per second to enterprise customers. (Philadelphia Business Journal)
  4. The bridge carrying West Coulter Street over SEPTA’s Chestnut Hill West line in the Germantown section of Philadelphia is closed. The closure is due to severe section losses to the structure’s primary steel members discovered during a recent inspection. A project to replace the bridge is currently in final engineering design and is currently scheduled for a construction bid opening in early 2022. (MyChesCo)
  5. Uncertainty lingers a week after Philadelphia schools reopen. The School District of Philadelphia reports there are no major COVID outbreaks in city schools, though teachers and parents are fearful of what happens in the case of a potential outbreak. (FOX 29 News Philadelphia)
