Beef Thieves Thwarted By Philadelphia Police: Reports

Hamburglars looking to steal from a tractor trailer making a delivery early Tuesday in South Philly were stopped by police, reports state.

PHILADELPHIA — In 2024, thieves stole beef and tuna from tractor trailers in Philadelphia.

And in early 2025, thieves were looking to steal more beef from a truck making a delivery in South Philly.

According to NBC10, police arrived just in time to a Sysco warehouse on South Seventh Street at about 2 a.m. Tuesday to thwart would-be beef thieves.

The thieves pulled up to the tractor trailer making a delivery in a stolen box truck, but they drove off in another vehicle, abandoning their heist, when police showed up, Action News reports.

No arrests were made
