Decomposing Body Found In Vehicle In Philadelphia

This discovery was made Tuesday night when neighbors smelled a foul odor emanating from a vehicle on the 200 block of North Bambrey Street.

PHILADELPHIA — A body that was decomposing was discovered in a vehicle in Philadelphia Tuesday night.

The body was found at about 9:12 p.m. on the 2000 block of North Bambrey Street, police said.

Officers were called to the area in reference to a suspicious vehicle, a Dodge Charger, that was left unattended.

When they showed up, officers noticed a smell of decomposition coming from the vehicle's trunk.

After opening the trunk, authorities found a body wrapped in a sheet.

Investigators have not yet identified the victim's identity, or their manner and cause of death.
