Eagles Holding Open Auditions For Cheerleaders

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles are hosting open auditions for their cheerleading squad.

The audition process is three steps.

The first is to learn the audition dance. Watch the dance is online here.

Hopefuls can select their own song to pair with the choreography to show off their skills.

"Utilize the opportunity to select a song and tempo of your choice to showcase your individuality, personality, showmanship, creativity, and distinctive talent," the team said.

Once the routine is nailed, applicants should record themselves performing it facing the camera. Do not perform the dance in front of a mirror. These videos must also include a short introduction, equivalent to two to three sentences about what they think would be relevant for the team to know.

Then, videos must be uploaded online here by midnight on April 14 to be considered.

Applicants are urged to read the full job description, as well as important information about the cheerleading job and selection process.

Most Eagles cheerleaders have full-time careers or attend college full-time in addition to being members of the squad.

Below is a full schedule of the cheerleader selection process:

Monday, April 14

• Deadline to submit Virtual Open Call Auditions
• Evaluation Criteria: Applicants will be evaluated on professional presentation, dance execution & technique, retention of choreography, and showmanship.

Wednesday, April 30

• Semi-finalists are notified via email and also listed on webpage (first name, last initial and hometown).
• Current cheerleaders that are interested in reauditioning do not compete in the virtual open call.

Tuesday, May 6

• In-Person Semi-Final Audition Rehearsal & Information Session
• Semi-finalists will be required to attend from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the NovaCare Complex.
• Participating in the Semi-Final-Final Rehearsal and Information Session will be optional for current Eagles Cheerleaders interested in reauditioning.

Wednesday, May 7

• In-Person Semi-Final Audition
• Semi-finalists will be required to attend from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the NovaCare Complex.
• Current Eagles Cheerleaders interested in reauditioning automatically advance to the final audition and have the option to participate in the Semi-Final Auditions (as a participant not a candidate).
• Evaluation Criteria: Semi-finalists will be evaluated on dance execution & technique, retention of choreography, showmanship, and professional presentation.

Friday, May 9

• Business Interview Candidates announced
• Semi-finalists that advance to the business interviews will be notified via email on this date. Business Interview candidates will also be listed online.

Tuesday, May 13

• Virtual Business Interviews
• Semi-finalists that advance to the interview round will be required to participate in a business interview that will be conducted virtually. Each finalist will be provided with a timeslot. The timeslot may be during business hours or evening hours.
• Evaluation Criteria: The focus of the business interviews will be on the brand ambassador responsibilities of the position. Interview candidates will be evaluated on the qualities of a brand ambassador including communication skills, public speaking comfortability, professional presentation, and experience relevant to the position.

Friday, May 16

• Finalists announced
• Business Interview Candidates that advance to the final audition will be notified on this date via email. Finalists will also be listed on this webpage.
• Current cheerleaders automatically advance to final auditions.

Wednesday, May 21

• Virtual Rehearsal & Information Session with Finalists
• Finalists will be required to attend a virtual rehearsal and information session from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Participation in the Virtual Rehearsal and Information Session is optional for current cheerleaders interested in reauditioning.

Tuesday, June 3

• In-Person Final Audition Rehearsal
• New candidates that advance to finals will be required to attend the rehearsal from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field.
• Participation in the rehearsal is optional for current cheerleaders interested in reauditioning.

Wednesday, June 4

• In-Person Final Audition
• Finalists (new candidates and current cheerleaders reauditioning) will be required to attend from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field.
• Evaluation Criteria: Finalists will be evaluated on brand ambassador ability, dance execution & technique, retention of choreography, showmanship, and creative performance.

Tuesday, June 10

• Finalists selected for the 2025 squad will be notified via email on Tuesday, June 10.
• Finalists selected for the 2025 squad will also be listed on this webpage.
• Members of the new squad will be required to attend in-person meetings beginning on Tuesday evening, June 17. Meetings and rehearsals are normally held Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
