A fast-moving clipper-style storm will travel from Canada to the northern United States this week. While the Mid-Atlantic region will be "on the warm side of the storm," the air may still be cold enough to allow pockets of snow mid-week along the Atlantic coast, AccuWeather predicts.
"The amount and precise locations of that snow will depend on the track and intensity" of the storm, AccuWeather said.

Looking farther ahead, AccuWeather meteorologists say they are monitoring the chance of a bigger snowstorm closer to the middle of December.
"There continues to be an indication that a storm will track from the southern Plains or lower Mississippi Valley to the Atlantic coast in the span from Dec. 9-11," AccuWeather Senior Long-Range Meteorologist Joe Lundberg said.
The storm could evolve into a potent nor'easter, or it could weaken before moving out to sea. More details will become available as the dates approach.
