Hurricane Milton Cancels 4 Dozen Philly Flights To And From Florida
Four dozen flights going to and from Florida airports have been canceled at the Philadelphia International Airport as of Wednesday morning.
PHILADELPHIA — Travelers looking to leave Florida for Philadelphia, and those looking to leave Philadelphia for Florida, are being met with canceled flights Wednesday as Hurricane Milton bears down on the Sunshine State.
Four dozen flights going to and coming from Florida at the Philadelphia International Airport have been canceled as of Wednesday morning.
According to FlightAware.com, 12 flights each arriving at and leaving from Orlando have been canceled, totaling 24 cancelations between Orlando International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport.

Similarly, six flights to and from Tampa have been canceled, as well.
As for Key West and Southwest Florida, a total of eight flights arriving and departing flights have are canceled.

Lastly, four flights leaving and arriving from Sarasota/Bradenton and Jacksonville are canceled, according to the website.
Hurricane Milton strengthened to a Category 5 again Tuesday evening as it moved across the Gulf of Mexico toward an imminent landfall in Florida's populous Tampa Bay region, forecasters said in an update.
By 5 p.m., winds had increased to 165 mph, pushing the storm to Category 5 status.
The storm was at that time was located about 480 miles southwest of Tampa and was moving east-northeast at 9 mph.
