Jalen Hurts Releasing Children's Book In Spring 2026
The Super Bowl LIX champion and MVP wrote his first children's book, "Better Than a Touchdown." Preorders for the book are open now.

PHILADELPHIA — Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is a man of few words, often maintaining a stoic front amid pressure from fans seeking another Birds Super Bowl victory and critics to yearn for his downfall.
But, Hurts has now put his words on paper in his first children's book.
Hurts Monday announced "Better Than a Touchdown" will be in stores on March 10, 2026. The book is available for preorder now.

The book is "a love letter to the power of community, being there for one another, and how a piece of good advice can change the course of a day," according to publisher Penguin Random House. "Told with Jalen’s signature wisdom and gorgeous art by Nneka Myers, 'Better than a Touchdown' carries a message we can all learn from: that by working together, there’s nothing we can’t accomplish."
"This has been a cherished dream of mine, and I hope it inspires young minds and readers of all ages to believe in themselves and never lose sight of their dreams," Hurts said in a social media post announcing the book.

"As an Eagles fan and a librarian this made my heart grow 3 sizes lol I can’t wait to get a copy," one social media user commented on the post.
"This Commanders fan will be ordering for my classroom library," another replied. "I'm always looking for diverse characters and uplifting stories that connect with students’ interests and send a positive message."
