  1. Police say a man is dead after he was shot 32 times in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. The shooting happened just after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Water Street and Indiana Avenue. The male victim was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No motive for the shooting has been released. (WPVI-TV)
  2. Sixty-five people have been charged following a partnership between the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office and the Philadelphia Police Department, authorities said.
    Attorney General Josh Shapiro and Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said 65 people have been charged, and 41 firearms and more than 4,000 doses of narcotics have been seized since April this year. The area is experiencing an overall decrease in fatal shooting victims in the AG's Strategic Response Team's targeted areas compared to the same time period in 2020. (Philadelphia Patch)
  3. A man is in critical condition following a shooting in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. At least four shots were fired from two separate guns, police say. According to authorities the man, believed to be in his 30s, may have been driving a Jeep when he was shot in the chest and legs. He was taken to the hospital for surgery and had no ID on him and is listed as a John Doe. (WPVI-TV)
  4. Rite Aid is moving its headquarters to Philadelphia in what it calls a site “designed specifically for in-person collaboration and company gatherings, rather than office spaces.”
    The new enterprise headquarters will be located in the former Navy Yard in South Philadelphia. The center will be offering a space for teams across Rite Aid’s various businesses (CBS Philly)
  5. Amazon announced a major hiring effort in the Philadelphia region on Tuesday. The company is filling 4,800 positions for jobs in fulfillment centers, sortation centers – where orders are sorted – and delivery stations. Many of the jobs will be at two Amazon facilities being built in Southwest Philadelphia. (CBS Philly)
