Man Arrested In Center City Attack That Left Victim With Broken Jaw
The man was taken into custody on Friday and charged with multiple counts, according to police.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Philadelphia authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with a Halloween weekend attack in Center City that left a man with a broken jaw, according to police.
Jose Luis Garcia, 36, of Philadelphia, was taken into custody on Friday, police said. He is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
The assault happened at 1:20 a.m. on Nov. 1 in the 600 block of Chestnut Street, police said.
According to authorities, Garcia struck a 22-year-old man in the face and head.

The victim, identified as Tommy Finley, told Action News he and his girlfriend were walking back to their hotel when the attack happened.
"He was walking along the side of the road with us, completely unbothered. At some point there he turned around and he started walking by us. I didn't think anything of it, and before I know it, he took a step towards me and sucker punched me without saying a word," Finley said.

Finley spent more than two days in the hospital following the assault, where he was treated for a fractured jaw, he told Action News.
