Man Found Dead After Fire In Philadelphia, Homicide Investigation Launched
A man's body was found in a Philadelphia property when firefighters were called there for a small kitchen fire Friday morning.
PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police are investigating a homicide and an arson jointly after a man was found dead in a home that had been set ablaze.
The incident happened at about 6:17 a.m. Friday at a property on the 7300 block of Rockwell Avenue, police said.
A man's body was found in the property by first responders who extinguished a small kitchen fire there, Fox 29 reports.

Police said he was pronounced dead at 6:37 a.m.
Two weapons were found in the property, one being a knife that was next to the body, according to police and NBC10.

Action News reports the man appeared to have suffered blunt trauma to his head.
