Man Wanted For Killing Ex-Girlfriend In Philly Captured In New York

PHILADELPHIA — Federal authorities said a man wanted for the murder of a woman in Philadelphia has been apprehended in New York State.
The U.S. Marshals Service said Geovanni Otero, 29, was taken into custody Saturday by New York State Police in Greenburgh, New York.
Otero is accused of killing 29-year-old Melody Rivera in early November 2o24. Her body was found in a shallow grave in Philadelphia's Fox Chase neighborhood.

Authorities said Otero was taken into custody after leading New York State Police on a chase in a vehicle that was stolen from Virginia.
