- A West Philadelphia traffic stop ended with an officer being dragged by a vehicle for nearly half a mile. A suspect with a gun took off in a stolen car and dragged the officer for five blocks before crashing into other cars. The officer is in stable condition at Presbyterian Hospital. (CBS Philly)
- Effective tonight at 7 p.m., the Philadelphia area will be on winter storm watch. Measurable snow and gusty winds will occur from Friday night well into Saturday as the Nor'easter races up the eastern seaboard. The Philadelphia area is expected to receive between three and six inches of snow. (CBS Philly)
- The city of Philadelphia will be awarded at least $186 million to fight the opioid crisis. This comes after every county in Pennsylvania came together for a national opioid settlement. Philadelphia will see a larger share than the rest of the counties due to the opioid epidemic's scale. (AL DIA News)
