Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run: Philadelphia Police

The striking vehicle was later found abandoned in a lot in North Philadelphia, police said.

PHILADELPHIA — A pedestrian was killed in an overnight hit-and-run in North Philadelphia, according to police.

The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Lehigh Avenue, police said. A white Honda speeding west struck 32-year-old Nafeece Acquil Jenkins, who was trying to cross the street, according to police.

Jenkins was thrown onto the vehicle and into the street, and was pronounced dead just minutes after the crash, police said.
