  1. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures on Cobbs Creek Parkway between Christian Street and 58th Street on Monday, Nov. 8, through Friday, Nov. 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for delineator installation and line striping under a project to install safety enhancements to improve travel and reduce high-speed crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.   2. Philadelphia police are investigating a murder-suicide in a Target parking lot in Philadelphia's Wynnefield Heights section. The couple was found dead inside a blue Lexus around 12:44 p.m. The discovery was made on the 4000 block of Monument Road and police say it appears a man shot a woman at least one time before turning the gun on himself. (WPVI-TV)
  3. Two people died trapped in a burning sedan following a two-car crash in Philadelphia on Saturday night. The vehicles collided around 11 p.m. near the intersection of Johnson Street and Stenton Avenue in the East Mount Airy neighborhood. The victims’ bodies were so badly burned that authorities could not immediately identify them. Investigators said alcohol may have played a role in the crash. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
  4. Philadelphia is celebrating Jewish cinema this week with the premiere of “Wet Dog”. Sunday kicked off the 41st Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival. The festival will run for the next two weeks at theaters and venues across the city. (CBS Philly)
  5. A conveyor belt sushi chain Kura Sushi is set to open a Philadelphia restaurant near Rittenhouse Square. The restaurant will take up nearly 4,000 square feet at a former American Eagle Outfitters location. (Philadelphia Business Journal)
