Philadelphia Man Charged In 8 Armed Carjackings, 9 Robberies: Feds

Officials accused the 20-year-old of being involved in a number of crimes, involving the perpetrators assaulting or shooting at the victims.

PHILADELPHIA — Federal officials charged a 20-year-old man in connection with close to 20 carjackings and robberies, including several where the robbers shot at or assaulted their victims.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said that Khalil Dickens, of Philadelphia, worked with others during eight armed carjackings and nine robberies in the city. The crimes took between June 2023 and July 2023.

Officials said Dickens has been arrested and charged by indictment with one count of conspiracy, eight counts of carjacking and aiding and abetting, and four counts of using a firearm during a crime of violence and aiding and abetting.

If convicted, Dickens faces a maximum possible sentence of life imprisonment.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives and the Philadelphia Police Department are investigating this case.
