PHILADELPHIA — SEPTA has announced service changes for customers planning to use public transportation on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
These modifications affect Regional Rail, Metro, and bus routes to accommodate New Year's Eve celebrations and New Year's Day observances.
For New Year's Eve, Regional Rail trains will be on a weekday schedule and offer special late-night service. This additional service will be on the following lines:

- Fox Chase
- Lansdale/Doylestown
- Media/Wawa
- Paoli/Thorndale (to Malvern)
- Trenton
- Warminster
- West Trenton
- Wilmington/Newark (to Marcus Hook).

Metro lines, including the Broad Street and Market-Frankford lines, will also operate on a weekday schedule. These lines will provide service before and after the New Year's Eve fireworks display at Penn’s Landing, with late-night trains running until 12:30 a.m. Select bus routes will have modified weekday schedules, while all other bus routes will maintain weekday service levels without school trips.

Customers attending fireworks events on the Delaware River waterfront are encouraged to use the Market-Frankford Line to Second Street Station, or use bus routes 5, 12, 17, 21, 25, 33, or 42.
Additionally, the following bus routes will be detoured starting at 8:15 a.m. on 15th Street between JFK Boulevard and Chestnut Street in preparation for the Mummers Parade:
