3 homes collapsed just minutes after a fire was reported.
PHILADELPHIA, PA — One person died and two were injured after multiple homes collapsed during a fire Sunday in Philadelphia, officials said.
The incident unfolded around 5 a.m. in a section of rowhomes on the 1900 block of Bristol Street in the Nicetown-Tioga neighborhood.
Crews responded to a call about a fire. Fewer than 10 minutes later, three rowhomes collapsed, according to NBC10 Philadelphia.

Several neighbors reported an explosion.
The cause of the fire and explosion remain under investigation, officials said Sunday afternoon.

Search-and-rescue efforts ensued while crews extinguished a small fire.
A canine brought in by investigators found a body during search efforts. The deceased person's identity has not been released as of this writing.
Two women were hospitalized — an 82-year-old in critical condition and a 62-year-old in stable condition, according to CBS News Philadelphia.
More than 60 city firefighters responded to the scene. The incident was placed under control at 6:33 a.m., according to the Philadelphia Fire Department.
Crews remain on-scene as of this writing. Once city inspectors and Philadelphia Gas Works personnel give the go-ahead, firefighters will begin clearing the rubble so the Fire Marshal's Office can investigate what caused the incident.
