Here are the top stories today in Philadelphia:

  1. Police in Philadelphia are asking for help locating a shooting suspect who is considered armed and dangerous. According to police, James White, 33, is wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred Thursday. At about 9:15 a.m., police were called to the 800 block of Welton Street for a person with a gun. (Philadelphia Patch)
  2. Philadelphia will now become the first major city in the country that bans police officers from making traffic stops for minor, low-level violations like for a broken taillight, or a missing registration sticker. Mayor Jim Kenney signed multiple bills into law that work to stop racial profiling and increase equality by lessening negative interactions with law enforcement officers. Police will still be able to make traffic stops for higher-level violations like speeding. (FOX43.com)
  3. A massive building fire that shut down Interstate 95 in both directions in Philadelphia's Port Richmond neighborhood was put under control after firefighters battled the flames and smoke Sunday night. The four-alarm fire started at a three-story vacant tire manufacturing building at Richmond and Tioga streets Sunday shortly before 10 p.m. A neighbor told NBC10 it was the Paul J.   4. A mother and her two daughters were injured in an I-95 crash in Philadelphia today. The family was driving west on Bridge Street when a tractor-trailer crashed into the car as it attempted to take the I-95 onramp. One daughter was airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition, while the other daughter and mother were treated for minor injuries. (Northern Highlands Daily Voice)
  5. The Philadelphia 76ers unveiled new uniforms inspired by the team's era playing at The Philadelphia Spectrum. The team played at the Spectrum from 1967-1996 and the arena was demolished in 2009. The 76ers will wear their uniforms for each Spirit of 76 game, starting on Wednesday, Nov. 3 vs. Chicago. (CBS Philly)
