Are you interested in sending your child to a private or tuition-based school, but worried about the cost of tuition? Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP) may be able to help!

CSFP provides need-based partial scholarships for K-8th grade students to attend quality, safe, tuition-based schools in the greater Philadelphia area. CSFP students outperform their public school peers in both math and reading on standardized tests! 54% of CSFP 7th grade students score at or above proficiency in math, compared to 19% of SDP students and more than 58% of CSFP 7th grade students score at or above proficiency in reading, compared to 38% of SDP students.

CSFP is currently accepting applications for the organization’s 2025-2026 Scholarship Lottery.

If you are a Philadelphia resident and meet CSFP's income guidelines, you may be eligible to apply – the process is free, quick, and easy.

Now is the time to act – Apply by November 15th to be included in CSFP’s Priority Lottery and double your chances for selection. If you are not selected in the Priority Lottery, CSFP will automatically re-enter you into its March Lottery .

  • CSFP scholarships are awarded by random lottery to Philadelphia students entering grades K-8th in September 2025. You have a good chance to win the lottery! There are 2,000 new scholarships available for next school year.
  • If selected, you can receive between up to $3,350 in scholarship dollars to fund your child’s education. These scholarships are available for students in Philadelphia to cover tuition-costs. Funds are dispersed directly to the schools.
  • You pick the school that meets your family’s needs! CSFP partners with more than 150accredited schools in the Greater Philadelphia area. Schools are racially and ethnically diverse; and offer faith-based, Montessori, and more. Many CSFP school partners offer additional tuition-assistance, before and after-school care, and extra-curricular activities.
  • CSFP scholarships carry students through 8th grade. If your student wins the lottery, they will receive a scholarship until they move onto high school, ensuring consistency for their primary education.
  • CSFP prioritizes siblings. If you have another child you’d like to add to your scholarship account in the future, CSFP makes every effort to ensure that they are selected. You just have to apply!
