SEPTA Suspends All Regional Rail Service Thursday
The suspension Thursday is unrelated to the delays due to the recent NTSB safety report and fire hazards.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — SEPTA's regional rail lines have been suspended Thursday due to electrical problems with their system, the transportation agency said in a series of announcements on social media, and it's not yet clear when service will be restored.
The suspension is unrelated to the cancellations and delays due to the fire hazard on the aging Silverliner IV rail cars and last week's damning NTSB report.

The initial notice issued Thursday by SEPTA stated that the suspension was due to "signal power issues" at around 12:30 p.m. Shortly after 2:30 p.m. SEPTA announced via X that Regional Rail service has been suspended "until further notice" due to signal power issues.
"No timeline at this point," the agency's X account responded to several people asking when the lines would resume operation.
