Teens Carjack Man, Shoot At Police Wednesday In Philadelphia: Reports
Two 16-year-olds and one 17 years old, are in custody after authorities said they carjacked a man, led a chase, then fired at police.
PHILADELPHIA — Three teenagers have been taken into custody after a carjacking and shooting at police in Philadelphia Wednesday night.
The series of events began at 11 p.m. when police were called to the 7200 block of Roosevelt Boulevard after a man who was pumping gas had his vehicle stolen at gunpoint by three teenagers, Fox 29 reports.
According to Action News, the victim's phone, which was left in the vehicle, was tracked by a family member, leading police to chase it for about a mile to Belmont and Girard avenues.

In that area, the vehicle struck a police cruiser and sped off toward Martin Luther King Jr. and Montgomery drives, where the suspects got out of the vehicle, one of whom fired at least one shot at officers, NBC10 reports.
The three were taken into custody and identified as ages 16 and 17.
