PHILADELPHIA — A domestic assault suspect wanted in Philadelphia caused a vehicle crash Monday that left an Uber passenger dead, according to reports.

Philadelphia authorities are looking for Joseph Cini, 35, who is wanted in connection with a domestic assault.

The situation began at about 7:15 a.m. on the 900 block of North Watts Street when the Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office was serving an arrest warrant for Cini, NBC10 reports.

Cini drove off from the area in a Nissan Maxima, and eventually crashed into a Jeep Patriot, driven by a 51-year-old man who was transporting a 63-year-old woman as an Uber rider, near the 800 block of East Girard Avenue, according to Action News.

The driver was taken to Jeep Patriot Temple Hospital for treatment, and the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, Fox 29 reports.

Cini ran off on foot on Eighth Street.
