Here are the top stories in Philadelphia today:

  1. Union boss John Dougherty and Philadelphia City Councilman Bobby Henon were both found guilty of conspiracy and multiple counts of honest services wire fraud in their federal corruption trial. In all, Dougherty was found guilty of eight of 11 charges against him. Henon was found guilty of 10 of 18 charges against him. (WPVI-TV)
  2. An 83-year-old Philadelphia priest pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators about not knowing a former parishioner and sexual abuse victim. In Sept. 2019, Robert Brennan, of Perryville, Maryland, was charged with four counts of making materially false statements stemming from an April 2019 interview with FBI agents, according to Acting United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams. Brennan worked with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia from 1993 to 2004 as a priest at Resurrection of Our Lord Church. (Daily Voice)
  3. A fight inside a Center City Philadelphia hookah lounge overnight spilled outside and turned into a shooting, leaving at least two men shot and a third man injured. The incident began with a fight in the hookah bar at the corner of 12th and Spruce streets just after 1 a.m. Monday, Philadelphia police said. As the fight spilled outside, people pulled out guns and began firing -- neighbors reported hearing 10 to 15 shots. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
  4. Certain healthcare workers in the city of Philadelphia, as well as those working and studying in higher education, are now required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Monday, Nov. 15. The vaccination deadline applies to university staff and students, hospital employees, and people who work in long-term health facilities. (WPVI-TV)
  5. A gunman shot at least six people in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood. The victims, ranging in age from 20 to 50, were all on the 2700 block of North Howard Street around 4 p.m. Sunday when a gunman opened fire. One 20-year-old man who was shot in the chest is in critical condition, while the five other victims are all stable. No arrests have been made and police have not yet released a description of any suspects. (NBC 10 Philadelphia)
