Woman Attacked By 5 People On SEPTA Bus: Philadelphia Police

Philadelphia Police said three women and two men attacked a 47-year-old woman on a SEPTA bus in broad daylight and in a busy area.

PHILADELPHIA — Police in Philadelphia are asking for help finding a group of men and woman who assaulted a woman on a SEPTA bus in December 2024.

The assault happened at about 4:28 p.m. on Dec. 13 on a Route 49 SEPTA bus.

According to police, the victim, a 47-year-old woman, was on the bus when another woman got on the bus at the JFK Boulevard stop.

Not long after the woman got on the bus, she and the victim got into an argument.

At about 19th and Fairmount, police said a group of the suspect’s friends boarded the bus, and the suspect pointed out the victim.

The group then walked to the back of the bus where the victim was sitting at and started assaulting her, according to police.

SEPTA video shows three women and two men punching and kicking the victim throughout her body.

Police did not provide details on the extent of the victim's injuries.
