Woman Fatally Struck By U-Haul Truck In Philadelphia
A 28-year-old man was taken into custody after police said he fatally struck a 40- to 50-year-old woman with a U-Haul truck Tuesday.
PHILADELPHIA — A woman died after being struck by a U-Haul truck, and the driver was taken into custody after trying to flee the scene Tuesday afternoon in Philadelphia, police said.
According to Philadelphia Police, the incident happened at about 4:46 p.m. Tuesday on the 1800 block of E. Cambria Street.
At that time and location, a U-Haul truck going east on Cambria struck a 40 to 50-year-old woman, who police did not identify, authorities said.

The truck's driver, a 28-year-old man, tried to run off from the crash scene but was taken into custody by police, according to authorities.
Medics pronounced the woman dead at 4:47 p.m., police said.
