Woman Killed In South Philadelphia House Fire: Reports
A 77-year-old woman died in a house fire that broke out early Sunday morning on the 600 block of Kimball Street in South Philadelphia.
PHILADELPHIA — A woman died in a residential fire early Sunday morning in South Philadelphia, according to reports.
The fire started at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday at Kimball and 6th streets, the Philadelphia Fire Company said.
About 20 minutes after the fire was first reported, it was upgraded to an all-hands call.

Fire officials told NBC10 crews had to force their way into the home on the 600 block of Kimball Street to fight the blaze.
For about 30 minutes firefighters worked to extinguish the flames in the three-story home, according to Fox 29.

The fire was placed under control by about 3:32 p.m., the fire department said.
Emergency responders eventually found the body of a 77-year-old woman in the home, which they said did not have working smoke detectors, Action News reports.
