Woman Shot At Philly Motel, Gunman At-Large: Police
The assailant reportedly shot a woman three times before fleeing into the woods Sunday morning.
PHILADELPHIA, PA - A gunman fled into the woods after shooting a woman at a motel in northeast Philadelphia early Sunday morning, authorities said.
The incident took place at around 2:03 a.m. at a Motel 6 along the 11000 block of Roosevelt Boulevard after a 44-year-old woman called 911 saying she had been shot by her ex-boyfriend, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Department told Patch.
At the scene, police found the victim with three gunshot wounds to her legs. She was transported to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition.

As of Sunday afternoon, the suspect was not located.
According to an initial investigation, the victim's ex-boyfriend texted her while she was out at a party. The pair later met up at the motel where the ex-boyfriend assaulted the victim and then shot her several times, police said.
