  1. A woman is in police custody after authorities said she stabbed a man on SEPTA's Market-Frankford line Friday morning. The incident occurred at about 5 a.m. at 15th Street Station. The man was stabbed at least once in the hand while on train car with fewer than 10 riders.(Philadelphia Patch)
  2. A rash of thefts from USPS mail collection boxes, first reported at the end of last year, continues to be a problem in some West Philadelphia neighborhoods. Thieves have recently broken into unidentified mailboxes, stole checks, and fraudulently cashed them for thousands of dollars. The amount in one of the stolen and cashed checks was changed from 40 dollars to 3,000, according to the report. (westphillylocal.com)
  3. A young athlete with dreams of ice dancing gold was gunned down in a double shooting in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood over the weekend. Joshua Anthony Soto was shot once in the chest along East Cornwall Street near Kensington Avenue around 3:45 p.m. Saturday. He died minutes later at the scene. He was just 18 years old. Police have not yet identified a motive for the killing.(NBC 10 Philadelphia)
  4. The National Dog Show will celebrates its 20th anniversary at the Kennel Club of Philadelphia. The 20th anniversary of The National Dog Show will kick off at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa on Nov. 20 and 21. The show will be taped for broadcast following the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade from noon to 2 p.m. in all time zones. (PhillyVoice.com)
  5. Philadelphia’s newest coffee shop is focused on more than just serving up bold brews.
    Located on Lancaster Avenue in West Philly, in the former Mighty Writers space, Stomping Grounds Café invites in customers with thoughtful touches like mugs filled with plants and a robust pay-it-forward culture. At this shop, there aren’t any pumpkin spice lattes or many adults, because at Stomping Grounds, young people are in charge. (The Philadelphia Tribune)
