PHOENIXVILLE , PA —It’s been nearly a year since Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022 and the war continues to escalate.
At home, the Phoenixville community is still forging ahead supporting Ukraine with fundraisers and prayers. Members of Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Phoenixville are collecting donations.
Vera. M. Andryczyk, a member of the church, said she and her husband, Roman, own a condominium in Lviv, Ukraine and have not been able to get there. Russian missles striked in Lviv Thursday, leaving most of the city without power.
