Santa Claus To Ride Fire Truck Through Phoenixville
Santa has set a date for his annual tour through the borough, delivering candy canes and dog bones all day long.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA — Santa Claus will make his annual ride through Phoenixville on top of a fire truck on Dec. 20, the fire department announced this week.
The event will begin at 8 a.m. and will continue until dusk.
"Santa and his firefighting elves will hand out candy canes to children, and biscuits for dogs," the fire department said. "Families are encouraged to meet firefighters on the sidewalk or at the end of their driveway. Children may also hand-deliver letters for Santa to one of his elves."

Officials said that Santa will attempt to cover the entire borough. However, the fire truck cannot safely travel down some dead end streets, so some residents may need to meet the brigade at a nearby cross street.
The fire department asks residents not to call the station to check on the status of Santa's sleigh.
