January 2, 2026 - The Audubon Symphony Orchestra, a vibrant community ensemble based in Trappe, PA, is seekingnew members who play “endangered instruments” – amateur musicians who play the bassoon or viola.

In addition, people who play cello, string bass, and violin are very welcome to join, even if they have not played for a while.

The orchestra prides itself on being inclusive and friendly, bringing together players ranging from high school students to senior citizens. Rehearsals are held Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 PM at St. Luke’s Fellowship Church, 200 W. Main St., Trappe, PA. No audition is required. The first rehearsal of the Spring 2026 season will be January 7th, but new members are welcome at any time. Interested musicians are invited to bring their instruments and a music stand, park in the rear lot of the church, and come in.

The orchestra performs an eclectic repertoire, including classical works, film scores, Broadway tunes, and popular favorites. We also have a number of chamber music ensembles for different instruments.
