Chester County Rises To Medium Level Of COVID-19 Cases
The number of positive COVID-19 cases rises 27% in the last week, the Chester County Department of Health reports today.
WEST CHESTER, PA — Chester County has risen from the low to medium level of COVID-19 cases, the Chester County Department of Health reported today.
In the last week from July 1 to July 8, there were 137 new cases COVID-19, a 28% from the previous week , according to the tracking by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tracking system.
In the last week there were 10 hospital admissions this week per 100,000 residents.

The CDC reported that 3% of the hospital beds available in Chester County are occupied by patients being treated for COVID-19.
The rates are calculated based on the increase of new cases and hospitalization based on 100,000 population.

Philadelphia, Montgomery, Delaware, and Bucks counties are also back up to the medium level.
Vaccines are available for children six months and older. The vaccines for children under five years old are lower doses than those used for those over 5 and adults.
