Election 2023: Twelve Seek Five Slots On Phoenixville School Board
Three incumbents and eight others are running in the primary for five open seats on the Phoenixville School Board.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA —Twelve candidates are seeking five open seats on the Phoenixville Area School District school board.
The district covers 22 square miles and consists of the borough of Phoenixville, and East Pikeland and Schuylkill townships. It has 32,000 residents.
The district has one high school, one middle school, and three elementary schools, Barkley, Manavon, and Schuylkill, and is in the process of constructing a fourth off Hares Hill Road, East Pikeland Township.

The district is in the process of redistricting to accommodate a projected increase in students does to massive development.
Three of the candidates are incumbents.

- Betsy Ruch, cross-filed
- David Golberg, cross-filed, attorney
- Stephanie Allen, cross-filed She is running as a Democrat and was selected in February to replace a board member who resigned. She is the chief diversity officer at Montgomery County Community College. Endorsed by the Democratic Committee of Northern Chester County.
Two candidates are on the Democratic ballot only.
- Sean Holloran, executive director of Barnstone Arts for Kids, a Phoenixville nonprofit. Endorsed by the Democratic Committee of Northern Chester County
- Graham Perry, a 30-year borough resident who wants to give back to the school district that did so much for his son. Endorsed by the Democratic Committee of North Chester County.
These candidates will appear on both ballots:
- Daniel Wiser, an IT manager working for a union signatory commercial construction company. Endorsed by the Democratic National Committee of Northern Chester County.
- Prince Denson, an environmental specialist
- Emily Shanley, a lifelong resident of Schuylkill Township and a local business owner.
- Kurt Siso, Realtor
- Frank Venezia, sales. Endorsed by the Democratic National Committee of Northern Chester County.
- Lisa Longo, former school board member
- Megan Valencia, human resource manager
