Fire Company To Test House Siren In Phoenixville Area
It's not the Limerick nuclear test siren, but residents still should not be concerned.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA — No, it's not the Limerick Generating Station's nuclear emergency klaxon. But residents in the greater Phoenixville area should not be concerned when they hear a siren on Monday night.
The Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company on 630 Valley Park Road will be testing their house siren.
The test comes ahead of the siren's use as part of the coming weekend's 75th Anniversary Celebrations.

"We don't anticipate an evening of inconvenience but it may require a few cycles to make sure it's tuned properly," the fire company said in announcing the test. "We apologize in advance for any interrupted dinner conversation."
The test should only last a few minutes.
