How Cold Will It Get in Phoenixville?

The coldest temperatures we’re likely to see this weekend will come Saturday night, the National Weather Service says, when with the wind chill it will feel like -8. Negative 8.

In addition to the cold, we’ll see about 3 total inches of snow in Phoenixville on Saturday, the NWS said.

A High Wind Watch is in place for the weekend, with gusts of up to 50 mph expected.

“The highest winds should occur late Saturday night into Sunday morning,” the NWS said. “Be prepared for power outages, possibly lasting more than 24 hours.”

The National Weather Service recommends charging all cell phones and other electronics. “Do not park vehicles where trees can fall on them,” the NWS said.

Here’s the hour-by-hour forecast, according to the NWS:

  • Friday: Sunny, with a high near 19. Wind chill values as low as -2. Northwest wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
  • Friday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Saturday: Snow showers, mainly after noon. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 31. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
  • Saturday night: Snow showers likely, mainly before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 9. Wind chill values as low as -8. Windy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 21 to 26 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 47 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  • Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 15. Windy, with a northwest wind 24 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph.
  • Sunday: Night Mostly clear, with a low around 0. Breezy.
