Party On Porches Set In Wayne

Free musical acts will perform on porches in downtown Wayne on Saturday, Sept. 23.

RADNOR, PA —A day of musical acts on porches in downtown Wayne in planned from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23.

South Wayne PorchFest 2022 is modeled after a similar program that began in Ithaca, N.Y. in 2007. The event is free of charge.

The music includes several bands, choirs, and individual performers playing music from classic rock and jazz to country and blues.

Cover bands will be playing music from Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, Taylor Swift, and Kate Perry, and local string bands and school choirs will be performing.

The houses are along Davids Road from Orchard Way to the corner of Windermere and Louella avenues; and the 300 and 400 blocks of Midland Avenue between Pembroke Avenue and St. Davids Road.

Roads will be closed to motorists during the event.

South Wayne PorchFest is located just off Lancaster Avene in Wayne, a mile east of I-476, exit 13 St. Davids/Villanova.

The event is walkable for anyone in the Wayne area. Parking is also available.
