PennDOT Lifts Speed Limit Restrictions
"Remember, our goal is to keep roads passable, not completely free of ice and snow," PennDOT said.

Speed restrictions in place Tuesday morning on a number of area roadways have been lifted, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.
“Due to the winter storm impacting the region, speed limits were reduced overnight to 45 mph on all interstates and several other routes in the region,” the agency said. “All speeds are restored to their usual posted limits. PennDOT is continuing to treat roadways in the area and will continue until roads are clear.”
But, PennDOT said: “When winter weather hits we’ll work around the clock, but remember, our goal is to keep roads passable, not completely free of ice and snow.”
