Phoenixville Borough Offices To Shut Down At Noon: Updated Impacts

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The continuing snowstorm could bring up to eight inches of snow to Phoenixville, and conditions on roads throughout the Chester and Montgomery county areas have deteriorated.

The storm has caused schools, businesses, and roads to shut down.

Municipal government

Phoenixville's borough offices will shut down for in-person service at noon on Tuesday. Staff will continue working remotely, and can still be reached at 610-935-2440.

In-person services are scheduled to resume Wednesday morning at 9 a.m.

Borough council meeting and other government meetings

Tuesday night's borough council meeting will still take place as scheduled at 7 p.m. at municipal hall, both in-person and via Zoom.

The Planning Commission meeting has been canceled.

Schools

All Phoenixville Area School District schools are closed on Tuesday.

Trash collection

Trash will not be collected Tuesday. Residents should leave their bins outside and they will be picked up throughout the remainder of the week, officials said.

Roads

Residents are urged to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary to leave room for plows and salt trucks, and because of dangerous conditions.
